Unanticipated Guest

The tapestry carpet adorning the white marble floor, a squab set inclusive of a studio couch upholstered with a pastel fabric and the curtains that hung before the French cut casement-each of them were appealing and reflected sophistication. There was no ambiguity that the interiors were a mastery of a professional interior designer, also the landlord of this residence being talked about.

After an exhaustive, long day, with a loud thump, he rested his butt against a wooden recliner. The sunset was to take place post an hour. The window panes were unbolted and open, the curtains gathered at one end while the proud owner of the villa sat back and tried to relax.

Just then an unexpected visitor hovered. Suddenly, the curtains swayed and the leaves produced a rustling sound. Her entry into the house remained unannounced for the main door was open, until she caressed through his blackish brown hair. He did not care to peek a glance at the visitor for he surely knew who it was. After all, it was what he needed at the end of a tiresome day at work. Within a few minutes, her presence made him serene, his mind soothed. He was overjoyed at her presence.

As he opened his eyes, he could sense the breeze as it blew through every embellishment that rested in his living room. A gush of wind followed, it became faint and then it was gone. He was once again full of zeal and set out to resume his daily chores.

The Fairer Gender

Alas! You’re not the Superman
And the world is too big a place to be covered in a few days
But isn’t she a superwoman?
She can club the world by cooking cuisines from all the bays.

Sad enough, you’re not the Iron man
One small cut, blood follows its way
But isn’t she an iron woman?
Subjected to torture and humiliation in a million ways, she still remains gay.

From Cradle to Grave

Nothing but the tender touch and the angelic melodies that lull a new born to sleep is the only thing familiar to a neonatal. With ageing, people get nostalgic and fear loneliness. The desire to share your day to day experiences, vivid memories of the celebrated times and put forth the shortcomings that one faces from time to time is not limited to teenage.
Blessed are those who have a 'cradle to grave' companion to stand by them at all junctures of life. The bond is more closely knit than that between two friends, and they are more than siblings to you. Being yourself, not letting jealousy be a hurdle, honesty, giving each another enough personal space, being understanding and not getting misunderstood is what it takes to preserve a beautiful relationship as such.
If you're bestowed with someone whom you can claim to be 'your person' never let anything/anyone fade away the mutual love. If you HAD one such mate, put your ego aside and do all it takes to set things right.

Love.Lie.Lose.

I wonder if I would have not lied that day
The day when You asked that question
The question which demanded a reason for my sadness
The sadness which has become an inseparable part of my soul
The soul which is Deeply and Passionately in Love
The Love which had no past, has no present and will have no future
The future which is incomplete without You
The You who’s my Angel, my Love, my Life
The Life which means only and only You in it
And today again I sit and wonder
I wonder if I would have not lied that day
The day when You asked that question
The question which demanded a reason for my sadness!
